Der Workshop beschäftigt sich mit den Möglichkeiten, ausdrucksstarke Samples aus Stimme und Perkussionsinstrumenten zu generieren. Während des Workshops werden die Teilnehmer verschiedene Klänge gemeinsam erzeugen, bearbeiten und in Echtzeit einsetzen. Eine faszinierende Reise in die vielfältigen Ausdrucksformen, die sich eröffnen, wenn Stimme und Percussion aktiv mit Elektronik und Computer spielerisch bearbeitet werden.
Sylwia & Biagio haben ihr gemeinsames Projekt 2007 begonnen und sind ein lebendiger Beweis dafür, dass übereinstimmende Ansichten über Musik genauso wichtig sind wie eine funktionierende und etwas spezielle Chemie zwischen den Musikern.
Sylwia Bialas ist Sängerin und Komponistin aus Polen; sie lebt als Musik- und Gesangslehrerin in Würzburg. Nach dem Diplom in Jazzgesang an der Musikhochschule in Würzburg spezialisierte sie sich auf digitale Musikproduktion. Sie setzt ihre Stimme expressiv und experimentell ein und improvisierte mit unterschiedlichsten Künstlern. Silwia schreibt u.A. Texte und Songs für Filmmusiken (z.B. Krabat, 2008).
Anmeldung
Biagio Francia ist Schlagzeuger, Perkussionist und Komponist aus Agropoli, Italien. Seit jeher galt seine Liebe elektronischer Musik und Klangexperimenten. Er studierte Schlaginstrumente mit M° Corrado Marciano. Seine Klangforschungen kombinieren Elektronik, Synthesizer, Naturklang und Rhythmus.
The workshop deals with the various possibilities of generating expressive samples out of vocals and percussion. The participants will generate, edit and use different sounds, going on a fascinating journey through the many means of expression that are opened through active and playful editing of voice and percussion through electronics and computers.
Sylwia & Biagio have started their collaboation in 2007 and are a living proof for the fact that sharing same views on music is as important as a working and special chemistry between the musicians.
Sylwia Bialas is a Polish singer and composer living and working in Würzburg (Germany), where she is performing and teaching vocals. After she took the diploma in Jazz Vocal at Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg she specialized in Digital Music Production. Using her voice expressively and experimentally she improvises with the most diverse artists. She is author of lyrics and songs for various film-scores (e.g. Krabat, 2008).
Biagio Francia is a drummer, percussionist and composer, from Agropoli (Italy). From the begin of his musical journey he was attracted to electronic music and sonic experiments.
His aural research combines elctronics, synthesizers, rhythm and the sounds of nature.
